Werner E. Stein, Founder and Chairman of „Stein & Partner Management Consulting“ Central & Eastern Europe.
Werner Stein’s professional career began in the banking field with the Baden-Württembergische Bank in South-Western Germany. Before finishing his studies in Business Administration, he worked as a In-house Trainer in the Training Center of Citibank in Germany, being responsible for the Training Department with focus on management. After continuing his studies in Social Education with a focus on Adult Education and Psychology, he made a two-year commitment to the Evangelical Church – the training facility in East Westphalia – as a Senior Teacher. This was followed by a 15-year commitment with the SOS Children’s Villages as a Director in Germany, as well as Regional Manager for Eastern Europe, having Romania and Bulgaria as priority countries, at the beginning of the 1990s. Afterwards, he established his own Management Consulting Company in 1994 as described above. In addition to his studies, Mr. Stein has a training Degree in Coaching with Rogers and a complementary training in Group Dynamics.
Werner E. Stein is the Founding Member and Member of the Board of the German Economical Club in Romania, headquartered in Bucharest, as well as the Founding Member and Member of the Board of the German-Romanian Chamber of Commerce and he is also member in various Supervisory Boards of international companies.
For many years, he taught as a “Guest Professor” at the Polytechnic University of Bucharest in the following fields: Management, Communication and Staff Development. He is also a member of the Supervisory Board – MBA program – of a German University in partnership with the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest. A “STEIN” – Award for the best three years graduates was in the meantime established. Likewise, he lectures on Ethical Corporate Governance and Management & Spirituality to the open-minded students!
Friederike Levana Stein, Shareholder and Member of the Board
Friederike Levana is acting as Shareholder and Member of the Advisory Board of Stein & Partner Management Consulting CEE. Friederike’s working experience encompasses HR in all kinds of facets. As a Manager HR Business Partner she has experiences in for example in the areas of Recruitment, Compensation & Benefist, and HR Services in multinational environments. Her studies encompass business, economics and philology in Freiburg and Berlin in Germany and Brisbane, Australia. She supplemented her education with a diploma in Business Coaching. With her recruitment, selection and coaching experience in multinational recruitment services agencies has let her build a strong business expertise in the area.
Dr. Michael Schroeder, Representative Romania
Michael joined the company in 2009. He studied Economics at the University of Münster in Germany. He completed his education with an MBA at the French Business School ESCP in Paris and later on with a PhD in international Marketing strategies for media at the University of Saarbrücken. Michael’s professional experience encompasses 17 years in the media business, first at European Television Channel Arte, then within the Burda publishing group. After working as Chief of Staff for the Hubert Burda, the owner, he built up activities for the company in Belgrade before being assigned to Romania. He was active as General Manager of Burda Romania until 2009. During these years he also managed several take overs of Romanian companies. Michael brings in operational experience as a manager in different organizations, international vision and experience, coupled with a feeling for the right person in the right position.
Michael is fluent in German, French and English.
Roxana Pana, Representative Romania
Roxana joined Stein & Partner Management Consulting Romania in 2000, holds the Partner Position since 2009. She started as Assistant, then coordinated the back-office team, being also responsible for the induction and training processes of the new team members, continuing later as Consultant. Previously she has worked for the Austrian beer producer Brau Union Romania (currently Heineken) in Sales & Marketing.
Roxana has been involved in several assignments for companies acting in FMCG, IT, Automotive, Retail, Construction Materials, Industrial Manufacturing and Energy. She coordinated projects for the search of key positions in Sales, HR, Purchasing, Logistics, Production/Operations, Finance, as well as Executive Management.
In the past years she also took part at several senior level recruitment projects for clients with Greenfield/start-up operations in Romania.
Roxana holds a Bachelor Degree in Foreign Languages (English and German) from the University in Craiova, Romania. She is certified in the administration of “Thomas International” Instruments.
Roxana is fluent in Romanian, English and German.
Wolfgang Limbert, Partner, Representative Serbia
Wolfgang joined Stein and Partner in 2010 for the representative office in Serbia. He holds a Master Degree in Industrial Economics, Organizational and Marketing Studies at the University of Muenster and Munich (LMU). His first business engagement was the appointment of Consultant in the Marketing field for various companies. In 1958 he joined Orga Market as Consultant and later on as Managing Director. His next step was joining Treuhandanstalt, were he participated in the privatization of several companies as a Consultant. In 1994 he started his long lasting partnership with the German Technical Cooperation (GTZ). As a Program Coordinator he was involved in economic development and employment promotion programs in Serbia and Montenegro and Romania in several fields of activity. Starting with 2010 he established his own Consulting Company operating in Serbia and Montenegro.
Wolfgang is fluent in German and English.
Sebastian Stein, Representative Austria
Sebastian joined the company in 2006 for an internship as an Assistant. Since 2010 he is coordinating the activity of our representative office in Austria. He is studying at the Business School of Vienna having as main focus International Business and Finance. He prepared his Bachelor thesis on “Assignments of Human Resources from Eastern European countries to the liability of foreignness of investing companies”. He participated at various internship programs, e.g. with Raiffeisen Leasing and with ABB Bulgaria, concentrating on the Financial and Controlling aspects of the business. In 2007 he joined CleanCard Austria where he was involved in Market Analyses, Business Planning, Supply Chain Management and Sales. Sebastian is presently taking part at a Trainee Program organized by Wienenergie in Austria.
Sebastian is fluent in German and English, having basic knowledge of Romanian and Spanish.
Regina Somleva, Representative Bulgaria
Regina worked for more than 23 years for leading international companies in the power and automation technologies such as Fischer&Porter, Elsag Bailey, Hartmann&Braun and ABB. During those years, she gained a serious experience in research and market development, proper identifying the needs and goals of clients, generating of solutions, target setting, long-term planning and working with people. With her strong focus, ability to motivate the team, enviable skills in working with customers, proper use of strategic tools, very good knowledge of the processes, as well as perfect analytical skills, proper planning and funds management, she worked her way out to becoming an Executive Manager in ABB Bulgaria.
Seeking new challenges Regina decided to continue her career with Stein&Partner and since the beginning of 2010 she is coordinating the business in Bulgaria as Partner being involved in Energy and Industrial field projects, positions of Executive, Operations and Technical management.
Regina holds a Master of Science degree in Economy and Labor Management from the University of National and World Economy, Sofia and currently she is in the process to getting her Master Degree in “Process Control and Automation” at the University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy.
Adriano Bratovic, Representative Croatia and Slovenia
Adriano joined Stein and Partner in 2010 for the representative office in Croatia and Slovenia. He holds a degree in IT Software Engineering and also studied Pedagogy. He stayed 11 years in Slovenia studying and participating in different IT projects for the Government, where he was involved in ecological research projects in the development of software systems for a network of big incinerators, and also in the development of a GPS navigation software. Adriano collaborated during this time with several IT companies, as well as with Apple as Software Developer.
In 2003 he returned to Croatia and started his own business: a software company specialized in CMS, CRM, software development, web design, SEO and IT Consulting.
Adriano speaks English, Croatian, Slovenian and Italian.
